About
Small steps, kindly repeated.
Little and Often is a blog about building habits that stick. We write about moving a little every day, in whatever way feels good to you, and about the small routines that help you feel better.
Why we started
Most habit advice is written for someone with endless willpower and a spotless calendar. Go hard, never miss a day, and start again from zero when you slip. That isn't how most lives work, and it isn't how lasting change happens either.
Little and Often is our answer. A ten-minute walk counts. A stretch before bed counts. A glass of water, a few slow breaths, a dance in the kitchen: it all counts. Done little and often, these small acts add up to something you can feel.
We're the team behind Meadow, a gentle habit tracker for iPhone, and this blog grew from the same belief: consistency, not intensity. If there's something you'd like us to write about, tell us.

What we believe
Consistency beats intensity. Five minutes on a tired day does more for a habit than one big effort followed by a week off.
Movement should feel good. Walking, yoga, dancing, gardening, carrying the shopping home: the best exercise is the one you'll happily come back to.
Missing a day isn't failing. We don't do streak guilt. Life gets busy, and the kindest thing you can do is pick up where you left off.
Advice should be realistic. We keep things practical, lean on good evidence where it exists, and say so when we're not sure. Nothing here is medical advice, so please talk to a professional about your own health.
